Nominations for South Sudan Fashion Awards 2023 will close on 30 June 2023.
There are 22 categories in which people can make their nominations for, including male model of the year, female model of the year, men’s wear designer of the year, women’s wear designer of the year, fashion photographer of the year, fashion stylist of the year, hair stylist of the year, make-up artist of the year, designer of the year, arts and crafts artist of the year, humanitarian award of the year, and more. The winners will be awarded during South Sudan Fashion Week (SSFW).
The 8th edition of SSFW is scheduled to take place on 4 and 5 August 2023 from 5 pm to 9 pm, showcasing some of the most popular designers and models from South Sudan and the region under the slogan ‘Behold the melanated beauty of the Nile’. The fashion week will include a cocktail party, fashion showcase, fashion awards, designer competition, red carpet competition and exhibition.
The venue and ticket prices for SSFW 2023 have not been announced yet; however, calls for designer participation and sponsorship are open. Organisers have published advertisements on their social media platforms.
Established in 2007, SSFW holds the annual South Sudan Fashion Week and South Sudan Fashion Awards, in addition to running the South Sudan Fashion Academy.
