Barbie everywhere! Pink everywhere!
The much-anticipated new film Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, has inspired an overwhelming wave of Barbie-inspired trends from outfits to parties to a new social media challenge where people do their best version of Barbie. And yes, pink is involved.
The Barbiecore trend showcases pink-hued dresses, power suits, swimwear, and even ethnic attire. On social media, the Barbiecore trend is vibrant with people showcasing their Barbie-inspired attire with a Barbie soundtrack playing in the background – whether it’s Nicki Minaj’s and Ice Spice’s new and catchy Barbie World song or Aqua’s old and classic Barbie Girl song, or even the ‘Hi Barbie’ sound clip from the new Barbie movie.

The popular Dubai-based personality Shahd Almohandis gave us her take on the Barbie video with a twist. She gave us several pink looks while attending a pop up event in the UAE. Beauty and fashion blogger Yusra and fashion designer Amna Hamadto make an appearance in the video. Shahd’s makeup was by Abeer Mahmoud and one her outfits, the pink toub is by Amna Hamadto.
