In recent years, we’ve seen a rising number of YouTubers from Sudan, creating content on culture, travel, healthy living and lifestyle, in general.
Here are some Sudanese YouTubers you should know about (if you don’t already):
Abir Ibrahim
Abir Ibrahim is a YouTuber based in Sudan with more than 26,500 subscribers, who has been blogging since 2014. She vlogs about her daily life in Sudan and her travels around the country. Working with NGOs in Sudan and Africa, she has also vlogged about travels to Ethiopia, Tanzania, Gambia and other African countries. In total, she has gained more than 1,500,000 views on YouTube.

She began creating videos in 2016 and instantly rose to fame with her comical impressions of different Arabic accents, landing her a feature on BBC News, Al Arabiya and other international news as well as joining Yemeni comedian Bader Saleh on his MBC show. In 2020, she was named UNICEF Sudan’s National Ambassador. She was also named as one of YouTube’s Creators for Change Ambassadors and Fellows.
