When the American ride-hailing service application Uber first launched in 2009, it revolutionised the transportation system around the world, inspiring many versions of the application or apps in various parts of the world.

Although Uber is not available in Sudan due to the former US-imposed sanctions, the service it provides can be found in the country through various local and regional platforms, improving Sudan’s daily challenges with public transportation.
