Sudan Mourns Loss of Sudanese Comedian Badruddin Basati

Sudanese actor and comedian Badruddin Basati, who is also known as Al Bulula for his character in the Fadil comedy series, which is one of the most watched dramas in Sudan, has passed away on the morning of Tuesday, 6 July 2021 at the age of 53 in Khartoum, Sudan.

Basati died of natural causes due to a sharp drop in blood circulation. His death was originally announced by his colleague Abdullah Al Fadil and shocked many. He said, ‘The eye sheds tears and the heart grieves, and we only say what pleases our God.’

He is mourned by many, including those in the Sudanese drama and comedy community. Many took to social media to mourn his loss including popular Sudanese singer Mohammed Bashier and social media personality Jorry and TV personality Esra Adel.
