Ethiopian food, Smart Cars, and the Newseum are on the agenda as cartoonist Khalid Albaih and filmmaker Bentley Brown discuss media and Sudan during Khalid’s visit to Washington. Khalid, a Doha-based artist originally from Sudan, was visiting America for the first time to present an exhibit called “It’s Not Funny: Political Cartoons by Khalid Albaih” at the Arab-American museum in Dearborn, Michigan.
Bentley, whose film Faisal Goes West depicted a fictional Sudanese family’s adjustment to life in the United States, was born in the United States and grew up in Chad.
