Sudanese Professional Association Calls on March to Honour Sudanese Women

As part of the ongoing anti-government protests in Sudan, Sudanese Professional Association (SPA) called on protesters across the country to partake in a march on Thursday, 7 March  in honour of Sudanese women.

According to SPA, the march or procession is to stand in solidarity with all the women who have been arrested for protesting and have now gone on a hunger strike in response to being detained.

Dubbed as the Women’s March or White March, the procession comes a day before International Women’s Day (IWD), which is celebrated internationally on 8 March every year to celebrate womanhood.

Following the march of 7 March, protesters have been reminding others of the much-anticipated procession with flyers. Thousands are expected to partake in the procession across Sudan.
