Many believe that they have come to Sudan with Mustafa The Poet who is currently visiting Sudan for the first time with his family. However, he is kept a low profile and has not shared or posted anything of his current visit to Sudan on social media. However, on 13 December 2022, The Poet posted a story on Instagram, announcing that he and Yai are hosting an event on the day at the House of Heritage to have a conversation on diaspora, community and their first time returning home. Some are speculating that Mustafa The poet and Daniel Caesar might be performing in Sudan, and other are speculating that they might be in Sudan for a wedding since it is wedding season in Sudan.

Although concerts are quite common in Sudan, they are mostly performed by Sudanese singers. Regional and international singers rarely perform live in Sudan neither do they visit, due to Sudan’s political and economic state. Most recent celebrity to come to Sudan is UAE-based Yemeni singer Balqees Fathi. Sudan has also seen performances by Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel-Wahab, Iraqi singer Kadim Al Sahir, English singer Joss Stone and American rapper Silento. In addition, Syrian singer Asalah Nasri held her first performance ever in Sudan in 2003 at a private wedding. Her performance was the first in the past 16 years.
